Biography

 

Todd R. Britton is an american composer, instrumentalist, songwriter and activist. His work has been featured and performed nationally. Todd has composed music for films as well as many spots for local Colorado television. His original compositions can be extremely diverse in style and instrumentation, but are always full of heart. His background in audio engineering has also given him a unique edge in the abitity to create dynamic and contemporary sounding recordings.

 

He has been playing the piano since 1974. His love of music motivated him to learn more about both the history of music and the methods that could be used to achieve musical goals, both technically and instrumentally. This motivation also led him to learn a variety of other instruments including cello, bass, voice, guitar, drums and violin. His studies have enabled him to learn styles and techniques of the Renaissance and Baroque eras, through to the more syncopated and rhythmic styles of todays modern orchestra. This orchestral background, fused with a history of live rock performance, has proven to produce a sound perfect for the needs of todays film makers and performance groups.

 

Todd offers the following services: composing for media, commissioned compositions, arranging, and orchestrating. He can also serve as an objective listener/collaberator, and can help brainstorm with the development of ideas.
